2015-2016: Varsity -- Although Sofia only played in 7 games, she scored 11 points (in 10 minutes). She also had 2 rebounds and 2 steals.
During her games on JV, She averaged 8.4 points per game, 2 assists per game, and a total of 23 steals. Had a 15 point performance at Buena Vista and a 16 point game at Gustavus.
Prior to St. Thomas: Was a 3 year varsity starter and letter winner for Farmington High School. Was a two-time all-conference player, 1,000 point scorer, and two-time team MVP. Was a 6 year varsity letter winner and all-conference cross country selection. Participated in track and field where she was a 2 year varsity letter winner, all-conference and all-section selection, participated in state track meet as member of 4x800 team. Graduated in Top 10% of class, 4.0 GPA, National Honor Society Senior Female Athlete Award.
Personal: Human Resource Management major. Parents are Sondra and Joel Chadwick who reside in Lakeville, MN. Has a brother, Alex Chadwick.
I chose UST because: UST has a great balance between academics and athletics. Also, the campus is close to home and is beautiful.
What do you enjoy most about your teammates or the basketball program?... I love how inclusive we are to one another. We do a fun of team bonding activities and we really get to know eache other.
What makes St. Thomas Special?... I think what makes St. Thomas so special is how passionate everyone here is, not just our basketball team and coaches but the professors and staff on campus!
What advice do you have for future Tommie Basketball players?... Try and break out of your comfort zone. I know it's incredibly difficult, but it honestly creates relationships that will last a lifetime.
What is your favorite meal?... Sushi!
What is your career ambition?... Human Resource Management or any job that let's me travel to cool places around the world!
What is your favorite vacation spot/future destination?... I really want to go to Vienna, Austria. Basically any country in Europe!
Who is your favorite athlet?... Too many! I love how Serena Williams is incredibly dominant and comfortable in her own skin.
What do enjoy to do in your free time?... Trying new restaurants
