2015-2016: Due to reoccuring injuries, MacKenzie appeared in 2 games. She scored 1 point with 2 rebounds. Before injury, MacKenzie had a 9 point 8 rebound game vs Buena Vista and an 8point 10 rebound game vs UNW.
Prior to St. Thomas: Played basketball at Lakeville North High School, three year varsity letter winner, all-conference honorable mention, two time all-conference recipient, academic all-state, AP scholar with honor, Summa Cum Laude, graduated with a 4.2 GPA, involved in Fellowship of Christian Athletes
Personal: Undecided major, plans to attend grad school to become a Physicians Assistant. Parents Jim and Kayla Denk reside in Lakeville, MN. Has a younger brother, Collin Denk.
What did you do this summer?... I worked at the baseball fields in Lakeville, I was a nanny, and took a family trip to Florida.
What makes St. Thomas Special? ... It is a close community where everyone wants you to succeed.
What advice do you have for future Tommie Basketball players? ... Don't forget why you love the game. Things are not always going to be easy or go your way but if you keep a strong work ethic and remember why you love basketball you will succeed.
What are you looking forward to most this year?... I am most looking forward to taking classes that are directly related to my career path.
What is career ambition or dream job?... I aspire to be a Physician's Assistant. I am currently a Biology major with the hopes of going to grad school after graduation.
What is your favorite vacation spot/future destination?... Dominican Republic
