2016-17: As freshman, Sarah gave her teammates great minutes off the bench. Sarah only started 1 game, but did see action in all 31 games. She added 2.2 ppg, 33 total rebounds, 28 assists, and 10 steals. Sarah scored 10 points against Saint Mary's and career high 11points vs. Macalester.
Prior to St. Thomas: Played basketball at Lakeville North High School, 2015-2016 Team Captain, three year varsity player and letter winner, two time All-Conference Honorable mention, All-Conference recipient, Academic all-state, Basketball Section Champions 2014 and 2016, set all-time Lakeville season Free-throw % of 86%, Second all-time Lakeville season 3 pt % of 47%,12th leading scorer in school history, Played AAU basketball 7 years - MN Crossfire Elite and Mn Stars. 6 year HS Cross-country Runner, 5 time CC letter winner and 2015 team Captain Graduated Summa Cum Laude with a 4.2 GPA, AP scholar with honor
What is your favorite sports memory?...Playing at the Target Center my sophomore year for state. We upset the number 2 seed and played one of our best overall team games of the season. Family: Parents Larry and Wanda Krynski. Brother, Ben (2013 MN State Shot put Champion and two year hammer thrower at Iowa State University) and older sister, Becky.
Why did you choose St. Thomas?... I chose UST for its smaller size, outstanding academics, nationally recognized actuarial science program, and fantastic basketball program.
Where and when did you hear about St. Thomas?... I first stepped on campus in 7th grade for the Tommie overnight basketball camp. Even then, I fell in love with the campus, fitting right in with the size and mission of the school.
What is your favorite meal?... My favorite meal is crab legs and lobster tails.
What is favorite late night snack?... My favorite late night snack is coffee flavored ice cream.
What is favorite vacation spot or future destination?... My favorite vacation spot is Maui, Hawaii.
What is Favorite band?... My favorite band is Lady Antebellum.
Do you have any notable or unique talents or hobbies?... I really like Frisbee, even though I’m not that good at it!
What is something fun or interesting you did this summer?... I went to the Boundary Waters with my dad for 4 days.
Where have you volunteered?... I have volunteered at Feed My Starving Children, at my church’s Sunday school, my church’s VBS, helping at cross country running camps, and have gone on 3 missions trips to South Dakota and Chicago.
What is your craziest ambition or on your bucket list to do?... I want to compete in a marathon or Tough Mudder competition.
