Three Tommies named Academic All-District

ST. PAUL, MINN. – Postseason honors continue to roll in for members of the University of St. Thomas women's basketball team. On Tuesday, three Tommies were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team: Faith Feuerbach (Sycamore, Ill. / Sycamore), Jada Hood (St. Paul, Minn. / Roseville Area) and Mikayla Werner (Hortonville, Wis. / Hortonville).
 
To be considered for Academic All-District honors, student-athletes must be nominated by a member of their institution's athletic communications/sports information staff and obtain certain academic and athletic standards. Student-athletes must compete in at least 50% of their team's contests and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher.  
 
St. Thomas Academic All-District honorees:
 
Faith Feuerbach (Sr.; Guard; Sycamore, Ill. / Sycamore)
  • First time Academic All-District honoree
  • Major in Mathematics and Education
  • Maintained cumulative GPA of 3.56
  • Played and started all 32 games for the Tommies in 2025-26
  • Averaged career-high 9.6 points per game
  • Tallied 61 assists, 31 steals and 14 blocks in her final season at St. Thomas while shooting .386 from the floor
  • Scored a career-high 27 points in a win over Alaska-Anchorage in mid-November
 
Jada Hood (Gr.; Guard; St. Paul, Minn. / Roseville Area)
  • First time Academic All-District honoree
  • Pursuing graduate degree in Business Analytics
  • Maintained cumulative GPA of 3.50
  • Played and started all 32 games for the Tommies in 2025-26
  • Ranked second in the conference in assists/turnover ratio (1.6) at the conclusion of the regular season
  • Ranked third in the Summit League in assists per game (3.5) and total assists (56) at the conclusion of the regular season
  • Ranked top-25 in the conference in scoring (9.5 vs. Summit League opponents)
  • Overall, led the Summit League in total assists and ranked second in assist/turnover ratio
 
Mikayla Werner (So.; Forward; Hortonville, Wis. / Hortonville)
  • First time Academic All-District honoree
  • Pursuing degree in biology
  • Maintained cumulative GPA of 3.82
  • Appeared in 31 games and made 12 starts for the Tommies in 2025-26
  • Averaged 8.2 points per game and shot .608 (104-171) from the floor
  • Scored a career-high 22 points in a win over Kansas City on February 25
