Family:
Rodney Mackenthun is Abby’s father who is a customer service manager at Plato Woodwork in Plato, MN. Her mother, Kathy, is a reinsurance manager at Aon in Bloomington, MN. She also played basketball at the University of Minnesota-Morris and was inducted into the Cougar Hall of Fame in 2012. Abby has an older sister, Anna, who currently is a junior at the University of Minnesota-Duluth, and a younger brother, Michael, who is in 8th grade.
What did you do this summer?
This summer Abby worked for a road construction company. She also spent a lot of time with her friends on the lake and played in a sand volleyball league.
What have you enjoyed most about UST?
Abby enjoys the numerous connections that have been made with faculty and fellow students. She appreciates the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff.
What is your career aspiration or Dream Job?
To become an accountant.
Who inspires you or is a role model? and Why?
Abby’s parents inspire her because they always push her to do her best, and they are always willing to help Abby with whatever she need.

Do you have any notable or unique talents or hobbies?
Abby can juggle, and she enjoys playing sand volleyball.
What is your favorite vacation spot/future destination?
Any place that is warm and has a beach.
