Academics: Biology of Global Health major...

Tommie Career: 
Played in 65 games, while starting in 33 of them... has a total of 679 career points, 278 rebounds, and 37 blocks...

2020-21: Started in 6 of the 7 games... scored 65 points, secured 28 rebounds, and had 3 blocks...

2019-20: First-year starter, All-Region and All-MIAC; led the Tommies in scoring 467 points (18.0), blocked shots (1.0) and rebounding at 178 rebounds (6.8); ranked second, third and sixth in the MIAC in those three categories; also ranked fourth and seventh in the MIAC in field-goal-shooting and free-three shooting'; lone MIAC player to finish in the top six of league stats in scoring, rebounding, field-goal percentage and blocks.... played in 26 games and in those had 18 assists and shot 16.7% from three-point... 

2018-19: Played in 32 games and started in one... had 147 points and 72 rebounds.
 
Career Highs: (through 2020-21): Points 30, Rebounds 15, Assists 3, Steals 2
 
 
Prior to St. Thomas:  Brynne had a successful high school career. She was a part of the schools Soccer, Volleyball, Basketball, track and Field, and Lacrosse teams and was a captain for the basketball team. During her Senior year she was a 1000 point scorer and ended her senior year with almost 1500 points. Also made the All-conference team two years in row. During the summer Brynne was a part of the Metro Stars AAU team. Finished  high school with a 3.8 taking all honors, AP and CIS courses.
 
Family:  Brynne has 5 other family members. Her Father, Neil Rolland, attended St. Olaf College, and played football and baseball there. He currently is working as a health consultant. Her Mother, Renee Rolland, also attended St. Olaf College. She is now a data analyst for Pearson view. Brynne has an older brother named Tyler, an older sister named Serena, and a twin named Spencer. Tyler just graduated from Carleton College, majored in biology with a minor in biochemistry and a concentration in pre-medical studies, and is now conducting post-bachelor research in cardiovascular regenerative medicine at Mayo Clinic Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. He also played Football and Baseball there. Her sister is a graduate of Luther College, she graduated with a Chemistry major, with a Math and Norwegian minor. Brynne’s twin brother is attending Harvard University and is studying a mechanical engineering major while playing football there.
 
What did you do this summer?
Brynne says this summer has been very weird for everyone since COVID hit the US but in the midst of the global pandemic and working out with Spencer, her twin, she got a job at ACR Homes. She is a Direct care Professional(DCP) where she works with mentally and physically disabled residents.
 
What do you enjoy most about your teammates or the basketball program?
What Brynne enjoys most about her teammates is that they are like her second family. She love them so much and has gotten so close to everyone on the team that they really act like a family.
 
What advice do you have for future Tommie Basketball players?
Brynne advice is become a sponge. Absorb everything the first year to help yourself adapt and play your best self. It'll be hard but the coaches will be helpful with everything and will help you through.
 
What is career ambition or dream job?
Brynne is majoring in Biology of Global Health to become a Physician, or Physician assistant.
 
Who inspires you or who is your role model? Why?
Brynne says her Mom because she works hard every day and they are very similar so she looks up to her.
 
Do you have any notable or unique talents or hobbies:
“I love to sing, not sure if I'm qualified to put that as my talent so it's a hobby.”
