QUOTABLES
Men's Head Coach Pete Wareham:
"It was nice to get back to competing this weekend. We had some very strong races.

"Sam Hebert had a very good outdoor opener in Texas. We also brought some guys to run 10K at Saint John's. Sean McNiesh had a very good race and freshman Nate Meyer also ran very well.

"I feel pretty good about where we are at as a group in the team right now. We will continue to work hard on the next couple of weeks and we have some exciting competitions ahead of us."

Women's Head Coach Ashley Lucas:
"It was a strong and encouraging outdoor season opener for our group. We split squads between meets at Wash U in St. Louis and Baylor, and saw a number of really positive performances across the board. Brooke Wisdom continued her outstanding form in the pole vault, breaking the school record, while Sophie Yetter and Olivia Goebel made impressive debuts in the steeplechase with a lot of upside ahead.

"Chloe Staub also had a great start in the javelin and has already reached a mark that puts her in NCAA First Round qualifying position. Olivia Keller competed with great toughness in the 800 meters to break another program record, and our 5K group continues to make steady progress up the all-time list.

"Overall, it was a great weekend and a strong foundation to build on as we bring the full team together next week at Minnesota State, Mankato."
