Four Tommies complete program’s first ever NCAA First Round appearance
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- St. Thomas women's outdoor track & field made its first appearance at the NCAA West Region First Round, featuring a program-record and two top-30 finishes Thursday night in Fayetteville, Ark.
Olivia Keller, Morgan Koppelman, Alexis Pratt and Brooke Wisdom each represented St. Thomas as the program made its first-ever appearance in NCAA postseason competition. Koppelman competed in the pole vault (t-26th), while Keller broke her own record in the 400-meter hurdles (29th).
Koppelman, a junior from Park Rapids, Minn., tied her personal record of 4.08 meters in the pole vault to finish tied for 26th overall. It marked her third vault above 4.00 meters this season after previously setting the program record with a clearance of 4.08 meters at the Drake Relays.
Keller, a senior from Burnsville, Minn., finished 29th in the 400-meter hurdles in 58.52 seconds Thursday to break her previous program record of 58.57 set at the Summit League Outdoor Championships. Keller finished four spots shy of the final qualifying position for Saturday's quarterfinal round.
Wisdom, a sophomore from Rosemount, Minn., placed tied for 41st in the high jump with a mark of 3.93 meters. She previously set the program record of 4.20 meters at the UW-La Crosse Uncaged Eagle Open before earning All-Summit League honors at the Summit League Outdoor Championships with a mark of 4.13 meters.
Pratt, a senior from North St. Paul, Minn., ran 25.01 seconds in the 200 meters to place 47th overall. She previously entered the championships holding the program record in the event after running 23.45 seconds at the Summit League Outdoor Championships.

Women's Head Coach Ashley Lucas
"The coaching staff and I are really proud of Liv, Alex, Morgan and Brooke. It's a huge accomplishment to qualify for first rounds and they will forever have made history as being the first of our program to do so. They have set the standard and the team is inspired to be the next to qualify. There were some definite nerves but that's because they care. I thought they all represented St. Thomas very well."
