Final meet before Summit League Indoor Championships
ST. PAUL, Minn. -- St. Thomas track & field makes its final appearance during the regular season Feb. 20 as it heads across town to take part in the Snowshoe Open hosted by the University of Minnesota. Events from the Minnesota Fieldhouse begin at 2 p.m. with field events followed by track events at 2:30 p.m.

St. Thomas indoor track & field delivered a statement performance at the SDSU Indoor Classic in Brookings, S.D., combining for four program records, five event wins and a dozen top-three finishes across Feb. 13-14. The Tommies posted multiple NCAA Midwest-ranked marks and continued their upward trajectory in The Summit League, highlighted by record-setting efforts from Johnny Bezdicek, Brooke Wisdom, Olivia Pauly and Danika Apple.
The women accounted for three school records and four event victories, showcasing depth across sprints, distance and field events. Danika Apple set a program record in the 60 meters at 7.42, ranking seventh in the NCAA Midwest, and added the second-fastest 200-meter time in school history. Brooke Wisdom cleared a record 4.05 meters to win the pole vault, while Olivia Pauly captured the 5,000 meters in a school-record 16:54.74. Alexis Pratt added a 200-meter victory, and the 4x400 relay posted the second-fastest time in program history as the Tommies strengthened their conference standing.
On the men's side, Johnny Bezdicek led the way with a program-record 21.54 to win the 200 meters, joined by Jayson Koel's runner-up finish that moved him to fourth all-time. Trever Schirmer recorded the second-best shot put mark in school history, while Max Westerlund, Ethan Foote and Seth Johnson each climbed the all-time lists in distance and hurdle events. The 4x400 relay added another top-10 mark, as the Tommies secured one event win and four top-three finishes to continue building momentum ahead of the championship stretch.
