Tommies fall to Jackrabbits in conference opener
BROOKINGS, S.D.- St. Thomas women's soccer (3-5-1) fell 6-0 to the Jackrabbits of South Dakota State (7-1-3) to open Summit League play.

Sophia Barjesteh recorded two shots on goal for the Tommies.
Olivia Rowe tallied six saves.
SCORING SUMMARY:
First Half: The Jackrabbits got on the board early scoring just 2 minutes into the contest to go up 1-0 early. SDSU then took a 2-0 lead off a free kick just outside of the box at 24 minutes. The Jackrabbits then extended their lead to 3-0 in the 32nd minute. Two minutes later the Jackrabbits found the bottom left corner to take a 4-0 lead.
Second Half: SDSU added to their lead scoring in the 58th minute to take a 5-0 lead. The Jackrabbits then scored for the final time in the 87th minute to make the score 6-0.
UP NEXT
St. Thomas will travel to Vermillion, S.D. to take on the Coyotes of South Dakota on Sunday, Sept. 28th. Kick-off is set for 1 p.m.
