Tommies travel for final meet of 2025 in Vermillion, S.D.

ST. PAUL, Minn. -- The final meet of the outdoor season begins Thursday with the 2025 Summit League Outdoor Track & Field Championship, hosted by South Dakota at Lillibridge Track Complex in Vermillion, S.D.
 
The three-day meet begins with the decathlon and javelin at 1 p.m. (CT) on Thursday with events running until the team awards ceremony at 4:20 p.m. on Saturday.

2025 Outdoor Season Recaps
Men
St. Thomas Men's Track & Field has seen three program records broken heading into the 2025 Summit League Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Senior Jack Rosner single-handedly accounted for two program records, setting the 110-meter hurdles mark in 14.01 at the Arkansas Spring Invitational and the decathlon record of 7,661 at the Drake Relays. His score in the decathlon ranks 13th in NCAA Division I, earning Rosner the Tommies' first Summit League Field Athlete of the Week this season, while his time in the 110m hurdles was 0.41 seconds faster than the previous school record. The 4x100m relay of Riddik Collier, Mitchell Piehl, Jayson Koel and Johnny Bezdicek topped the previous record with a time of 40.63 set at the Drake Relays. The program saw 15 new entries to its all-time top 10 lists, including five by Rosner, while St. Thomas ranks among the top five in the league so far in eight events and among the top 25 in the Midwest region in seven events. The Tommies' 400m hurdles event squad ranks No. 22 in the country.
 
Women
Tommie Women's Track & Field enters the 2025 Summit League Outdoor Track & Field Championships with 12 new program records under its belt. Morgan Koppelman (pole vault), Hailey Shimon (discus) and Anna Swanson (javelin) rewrote the records in the field while the 4x100-meter relay, 4x400m relay, sprint medley relay and distance medley relay times were all broken. Olivia Keller single-handedly broke three program records in the 400m dash in 55.42, the 400m hurdles in 59.83 and the heptathlon with a score of 4,844. Alexis Pratt rebroke her own time in the 200m dash at 23.98 while freshman Danika Apple set the 100m record in 11.52. The Tommies added 42 new or improved marks to their all-time top 10 lists and currently rank top five in the Summit League in 12 events, plus top 25 in the Midwest region in 11. The Tommies' 400m hurdles event group ranks No. 37 nationally.
