Tommies send team to Minneapolis April 22 before select few to Des Moines, Iowa April 23-25
ST. PAUL, Minn. -- St. Thomas men's and women's track & field continues its quick turnaround April 22-25 with competition split between two meets in Minneapolis and Des Moines, Iowa, including the Gary Wilson Invitational and Drake Relays. The Gary Wilson Invitational is scheduled for Wednesday, April 22, in Minneapolis and hosted by the University of Minnesota, while the Drake Relays will run Thursday, April 23, through Saturday, April 25, at Drake University in Des Moines.

Last Time Out
St. Thomas produced a record-setting week across five meets from Minnesota to California, posting school records, event titles and numerous NCAA Midwest regional marks against elite competition. The Tommies made additional history at the Gustie Twilight, where Mitchell Warmington, Jack Fischer, Ella Olson and Brooke Hohenecker won the first mixed 4x400-meter relay contested in program history.
The women delivered standout performances throughout the week, led by Alexis Pratt's school-record 23.87 in the 200 meters and the second-fastest 100-meter time in program history. St. Thomas also set a program record in the 4x100 relay as Jayi Wilson, Pratt, Danika Apple and Cassia Cady ran 44.98, while the 4x400 relay moved to No. 2 all-time. Olivia Keller added top-three program marks in both hurdle events, and Brooke Wisdom and Morgan Koppelman tied the school record in the pole vault at 4.07 meters. In the field events, Cady broke the program record in the triple jump, while Jacquelyn Cole moved to fourth all-time in the long jump. The distance group added more top marks, highlighted by Olivia Pauly's No. 2 all-time 10,000-meter performance.
The men were paced by Barak Barner, who won the 110-meter hurdles at the Gustie Twilight and moved to fourth in program history. Max Westerlund posted the third-fastest 5,000-meter time in school history at the Bryan Clay Invitational, while Blake Burnstad added a top-10 mark in the 800 meters. Sam Hebert continued his strong season with a sixth-place finish in the 400 meters at the Beach Invitational, and Jack Weigel added a sprint title in the 100 meters.
