QUOTABLES
Men's Head Coach Pete Wareham:
"The men had an outstanding meet. This helps set us up for the Summit League Championship in two weeks. Mitchell Piehl set multiple school records over the weekend and Blake Burnstad tied a school record as well. The 4x400m relay was outstanding setting the school record. In all we just competed very well and that is the approach and mindset we need.
"I am really confident in our team and their competitive spirit. We will fine tune things at the University of Minnesota next week and set ourselves up for the Summit League Championships. I am looking forward to the next couple of weeks and I know our guys are too."
Women's Head Coach Ashley Lucas:
"How can you not be excited and proud when you walk away from the weekend with four school records and many more top 10 additions? I'm just so proud of how the team has been competing. They are really feeding off one another and that's what a true team does. We look to continue the momentum as we fine tune to the Summit League Championships."
UP NEXT
St. Thomas returns to the Twin Cities for its final meet Feb. 21 before the Summit League Championships Feb. 28 – March 1. The Tommies will compete at the Snowshoe Open in Minneapolis before traveling back to Brookings for the conference meet at SDSU's campus.
