GREEN BAY, Wisc. – St. Thomas Men's Soccer's (7-4-3, 1-2-0 Summit) win total climbed even higher after a comeback victory on the road against the Green Bay Phoenix (5-7-1, 2-3-1 Horizon) at Aldo Santaga Stadium on Tuesday evening.
Yanis Lakhlifi and Alejandro Giner each scored in the Toms' program-best seventh win of 2025. Cameron Olszewski got his first win of his career in net with a pair of saves.
Game Summary

-Jack Kuelthau received a yellow card in the 29th minute after making his first career start.
-That shot in the 37th came off the boot of Lakhlifi and found the lower left corner of the net to tie the game at one. It was Lakhlifi's fifth goal of the season to tie Mathis Guffroy for the team lead. It is the first time in DI program history that multiple Tommies have scored at least five goals.
Second Half
-The Toms came out with sustained pressure in the second half and after Guffroy pelted a shot in the 50th minute that was saved, he assisted on Alejandro Giner's go-ahead goal in the 60th minute.
-It was the second consecutive game with a score from Giner who tallied his fourth of the season. It is also the first time in program history that the Tommies have three players with at least four goals.
-Giner's tally was the Tommies' 23rd goal, seven more than the total goals scored in each of the Toms' first three seasons of DI.
-Alejandro did receive a red card in the 66th minute to send the Tommies down one man. The Phoenix got one shot on goal with the extra player, but Olszewski made the key save in the 70th.
-Oliver Corris earned a yellow in the 79th and then Green Bay returned the favor with a red card of their own in the 82nd minute of play.
Quoting Coach Lowery
"Gutsy win in tough conditions. We managed minutes on guys and it didn't disrupt much. Full credit for the guys who stepped into the lineup today. Jack stood tall as a freshman center back in his first start and Cam was equally solid in his first start. A well deserved team win and I am proud of this group for continuing to learn and get better."
Up Next
The Tommies return to South Field for senior day for their first ever matchup with Summit League opponent, UMass at 12:00 p.m.
