Women’s Soccer returns to South Field to take on Pioneers and Bison

Tommies ready for three game homestand
ST. PAUL, MINN.- The St. Thomas Women's Soccer team (3-8-2, 0-4-1) return to South Field this week to take on the Denver Pioneers (7-4-3, 4-1) and the North Dakota State Bison (5-10, 1-4).
The Tommies will take on the Pioneers Thursday, Oct. 16th , kick off is slated for 4 p.m. The Purple will then return to South Field on Sunday, Oct. 19th for a 1 p.m. kickoff against the Bison.

Conference Battles
The Tommies earned their first conference point as the battled Oral Roberts, who currently leads the conference with 13 points to a 2-2 on Oct. 9th. Juliet Carlson scored her first goal of the season while Melina Knowles tallied her second.
St. Thomas then fell in a tight 3-2 battle to Kansas City on Oct. 12. Emily McCarthy scored via header for her second of the season, and Sydney Kubes scored her first of the season. Alexandra Amini and Molly Knoblauch each chipped in assists.

Olivia Rowe – 1st in saves per game with 6.46

Scouting the Pioneers
The Denver Pioneers currently sit 7-4-2 overall and 4-1 in Summit League play, sitting in second place with 12 points.
Denver is lead by redshirt junior Emma Thielbahr who has netted four goals. Senior midfielder Isabella Chidiac leads the team with seven assists.
Head Coach Julianne Sitch has entered her third season at the helm of the program.
Scouting the Bison
NDSU currently sits 5-10 overall and 1-4 in conference play, sitting in seventh place just above the Tommies with three points.
The Bison are led by Morgan Russmann and Kendall Stadden lead the offense with four goals apiece. Russmann has also tallied six assists, and Stadden chipped in three.
Head Coach Mike Regan began his eighth season at the helm in 2025 after guiding the program to the 2024 Summit League Regular Season Championship.

St. Thomas will finish the 2025 regular season at home on Sunday, Oct. 26th as they take on North Dakota and celebrate the senior class.
