Tommies battle the Pioneers to a 1-1 tie

Nygaard nets lone Tommie goal
ST. PAUL, MINN.- The St. Thomas Tommies (3-8-3, 1-4-1) battle the Denver Pioneers (7-4-4) to a 1-1 tie. Sophomore Brooke Nygaard netted the lone Tommie goal.

SCORING SUMMARY:
First Half: Although the first half was scoreless, the Tommies tallied five shots on goal, to the Pioneers two. The Purple offense brought the pressure by recording 11 shots total.
Second Half: The Tommies opened the scoring when Brooke Nygaard netted a goal off the corner kick from Sophia Barjesteh to take a 1-0 lead. Denver then tied the game at one with two minutes remaining in the contest.
