Tommies ready to face Lions
ST. PAUL, MINN.- The St. Thomas Tommies are hitting the road for their last non-conference match-up before kicking off Summit League play. The Tommies will face the Lindenwood Lions out of the Ohio Valley Conference. Kick-off is slated for 11 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 16th.
Please note that kickoff time has been changed to 11 a.m.
St. Thomas is coming off their first win of the 2026 season at University of Northern Iowa 2-1 on Sept. 10.

Scouting the Lions
The Lindenwood Lions are 3-4-1 this season and are coming off a 1-0 win over Murray State on Sept. 13. The Tommies and Lions have yet to faceoff so Thurday's meeting will be the first in program history.
New era of Tommie Soccer
Tommie soccer is entering a new era this season with the addition of a brand-new coaching staff. Gretta Macdonald, Becca Brandt, and Alex Piekarski are the new faces on the sideline and have taken the rains of Tommie Women's soccer.
Becca Brandt will be the interim head coach for the 2026 season as Head Coach Gretta Macdonald takes a leave of absence.
Brandt comes to St. Thomas with numerous coaching experience, most recently she served on Macdonald's staff for one season at St. Cloud State. Becca also spent time at UW-Madison as an assistant and recruiting coordinator (2022-2025). Brandt also spent her playing career at UW-Madison from 2014-2018; she served as the team captain in 2017.
Alex Piekarski also joins the Tommie staff as an assistant with a vast coaching resume. Piekarskie spent two seasons with Macdonald at SCSU. Prior to that, he spent five seasons as the head coach of Northwestern Oklahoma State. He also spent time as the head coach at NAIA Hastings College, and an assistant at Utah State and Wayne State College.
McEwan Scoring Streak
Junior Izzy McEwan leads the team with four goals this season, all within the last four games. She was named the Summit League offensive player of the week, the week of August 24. Freshman Alexis Larson also scored her first collegiate goal in the Tommies win over UNI.
2026 Tommies
The Tommies return 15 to the squad and have added 10 new additions.
Schedule Talk
The St. Thomas Tommies will play seven games on home turf at South Field during the 2026 season. Five of the seven home games will be Summit League contests.
