Track & Field to compete Friday at Snowshoe Open

Field events begin at 2 p.m., running events at 3 p.m. from University of Minnesota campus
ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Just one meet remains before conference season as the St. Thomas track & field programs prepare for the Snowshoe Open Friday, Feb. 16 in Minneapolis.
Fans can follow along with live results HERE. Admission to the event hosted at the Minnesota Fieldhouse is free. Attendants can enter the Fieldhouse through the marked Meet Entrance doors, located on the north side (off University Avenue) of the Fieldhouse.
During their last meet, sophomores Caden Nordberg and Alexis Pratt broke St. Thomas track & field program records for the second time this season as the men's and women's teams competed at the SDSU Indoor Classic Saturday, Feb. 10 in Brookings, S.D.
Nordberg claimed second in the mile Saturday with a time of 4:07.26, topping his previous program record, set Jan. 20 at the Cyclone Open, by over one second. Pratt set the Tommie standard in the 200-meter dash for the second consecutive week with a third-place time of 24.72. She bested her previous time by 0.3 seconds set Feb. 3 at the Ted Nelson Classic in Mankato, Minn.
The duo was part of three top-three finishes for the men and four top-three finishes for the women. In total, the men recorded seven top-five finishes and saw 20 personal records set, while the women totaled 10 top-five finishes with 26 personal record marks set.
