Women's Golf fifth at Nebraska tourney

Elk Horn, Neb. -- Sophomore Isabelle Lynch placed seventh in a field of 60 players to lead Tommie Women's Golf to fifth place out of nine teams in a tourney hosted by the University of Omaha.
The Tommies had rounds of 302, 303 and 308 in the two-day, 54-hole competition. They placed third among six Summit League teams in the field, four shots behind UW-Green Bay and four ahead of Western Illinois. Coach Katie Hanneman's team closed just seven shots out of third place.
Lynch had scores of 71-75-79/225, including eight birdies. Her 71 on Monday tied for her 2022-23 season best score.
Emma Davies tied for 10th place at 227 with scores of 76-74-77, including seven birdies
Caroline Monty tied for 20th place at 229 with rounds of 73-79-77. Her opening 73 score was a collegiate low.
Courtney Wedin tied for 25th place with scores of 82-75-75, including six birdies.
Mallory Belka (84-81-82) and Kate Foley (85-88-86) rounded out the St. Thomas lineup.
Creighton edged North Dakota State by two strokes for the team crown.
