Women's Golf with three golfers in the top four, in first place after day one

Nicole Reineke (+1), Kathryn VanArragon (+3), and Emma Davies (+4) earn their way into the top four out of 69 golfers after the first 36 holes in Omaha.
OMAHA, Neb. – The University of St. Thomas women's golf team finished day one of the Big O Classic with an emphatic performance. The Tommies finished the first 36 holes with three of the top four golfers on the day and with an 11-stroke advantage over second place South Dakota State.
The Tommies completed the opening 18 with a tournament-best 298 and followed it up with a tournament second-best 301 during the second half of the day. Their total score of 599 puts them 15 strokes above par and 20 strokes clear of fourth place.

Nicole Reineke carded a +1 to lead all competitors while Kathryn VanArragon finished closely behind in second with a +3.
Reineke's day started out incredibly with a five-birdie round that ended up being the only round under par in the tournament at one under. Her second round was impressive as well, she came in at two strokes over par to seat her squarely in first place with 18 still to play.
Her freshman counterpart VanArragon finished even in the first round and gave up three strokes in the second to give her one stroke up on a three-way tie for third place.
One of the golfers tied for third was St. Thomas sophomore Emma Davies who absolutely rallied in the second round with three birdies in the final six holes to secure a round score of +1.
Isabelle Lynch also finished in the top-10 tied for ninth at +7.
