No. 4-ranked St. Thomas (6-1 overall, 5-0 MIAC) got points from its defense, special teams, run game and passing game in Saturday's 84-0 MIAC football win at Hamline. Ten different Tommies scored touchdowns as UST extended its win streak over conference opponents to 25.

It was the third shutout victory in the last five games for the Tommies, who lead NCAA Division III in rushing defense. The Toms forced 13 punts, allowed just five first downs, and limited the Pipers to minus-one net yards on the ground on 32 attempts. The Toms recorded 14 tackles for loss and held the Pipers to 2-of-17 on third-down conversions.

In 73 opponent offensive drives in its 5-0 MIAC start, St. Thomas has allowed just six touchdowns, all by pass, and only 42 first downs. St. Thomas has allowed just 83 net rushing yards on 140 carries in five MIAC contests.

Josh Parks (10 carries, 122 yards) and Tucker Trettel (eight carries, 120 yards) recorded St. Thomas' first 100-yard rushing games of the season. QB Jacques Perra ran for a score and threw a TD pass.

St. Thomas scored three return touchdowns -- safety Issac Seering (25 yards) on an interception, and Tom Loeffler (75 yards) and Vinny Pallini (88 yards) on punt returns.

The Toms are home Oct. 28 to face Bethel.
