ST. PAUL, MINN. – University of St. Thomas head football coach Glenn Caruso will be inducted into the Minnesota Football Coaches Association (MFCA) Hall of Fame later this spring.
"It's a tremendous honor for our family, players, program and University to be inducted into the Association Hall of Fame" said Caruso. "The MFCA is the standard in both our sport and coaching in our state. It's an exceptionally well-run organization with a proud history and tradition, and to be considered is overwhelming. Successes like these are always a reflection of an entire program and so many people stalwartly doing decades of work is the most humbling part of the award."
To be eligible for the MFCA Hall of Fame, individuals must have been a head coach for at least 15 years and must be at least 50 years old. Additionally, coaches must be members of the MFCA.

GLENN CARUSO
Glenn Caruso was named the 29th head coach in the 114-year of St. Thomas football in January 2008. He's led the Tommies' remarkable surge that produced two NCAA Division III championship game trips over eight seasons, and a fast start in five Division I FCS seasons.
The six-time National Coach of the Year, Caruso is entering his 19th year guiding the Tommies in 2026. During the 2025 season, Caruso surpassed 200 games as Tommie head coach and won his 150th game with the program against Black Hills State in September 2023. He's tied for the 17th longest tenure among all D-I football head coaches (ninth in FCS) and is the Pioneer Football League's (PFL) longest-tenured coach at his school. He's on a short list of coaches to work as either a head coach or coordinator for NCAA Division I, II and III teams.
In 18 seasons at St. Thomas, Caruso has compiled a record of 164-39 and produced 17 consecutive .500 or better seasons with the Tommies. In 2025, Caruso led St. Thomas to its fifth consecutive top-3 finish in the PFL standings, as the Tommies were in the hunt for their second league title entering the final two weeks of the regular season. St. Thomas also won the university's first Division I championship in 2022, the department's second year as a DI program, following an undefeated season in PFL play. The Tommies also cracked the FCS top-25 in October 2022 and finished the season ranked #19 in the nation.
