The St. Thomas women's hockey team played to a tie for the third game in a row, 2-2 at Concordia-Moorhead on Saturday.
Coach Tom Palkowski's Tommies finished in a three-way tie for second place with Bethel and St. Olaf and earned the No. 2 seed for next week's playoffs via a tiebreaker.
UST outshot the host team 30-22. The Cobs pulled their goalie during a power-play for a two-player advantage and tied the game with a goal with 49 seconds left in regulation. Overtime was scoreless.
Meghan Parker and Mary Grace Flesher scored goals for the Tommies.
With the two weekend ties, UST (11-9-5) secured a winning season. The Toms will host third-seed Bethel in Thursday night's semifinals in Mendota Heights. Fourth-seed St. Olaf is home Tuesday to face fifth-seed Concordia, with that winner playing Thursday at top-seed Gustavus.
