Brown scores lone Tommie goal
COLUMBUS, OHIO - St. Thomas Tommies (12-23-1, 7-20-1) season comes to an end at the hand of the No.2 Ohio State (32-4-0, 24-4-0) as they fall 4-1 in game two of the WCHA quarterfinals. Madison Brown scored the lone Tommie goal in the second period.
Scoring Summary:
First Period: After a scoreless first 14 minutes of the period, Ohio State struck first and took a 1-0 lead. The Buckeyes then added to the lead with just 1:41 left in the period to take a 2-0 lead into the first intermission.
Second Period: Ohio State then added to their lead scoring at the very end of their power play. Just 40 seconds later the Tommies respond as Maddie Brown scores off a rebound to get St. Thomas on the board and cut the Buckeyes lead to 3-1. Sadie Lindsay and Ella Boerger chipped in the assists.
Third Period: The Buckeyes then extended their lead to 4-1 just one minute into the third.
