The Cobbers scored a power-play goal late in period two for a 1-0 lead. UST outshot Concordia 16-14.
St. Thomas sits in second place by one point over Bethel and St. Olaf. The Toms needs a win or tie today -- or a tie or loss by Bethel or St. Olaf -- to secure a No. 2 or 3 seed for next week's playoffs and gain a Thursday semifinal game. A UST loss and wins by Bethel and St. Olaf today would drop the Toms to the fourth seed and create a Tuesday night first-round home game agaisnt the Cobbers .
