Women's Hockey gets 6-1 win over Cobbers

Lauren Bradel stopped 32 of 33 shots and six different Tommies had one goal in Friday's 6-1 home victory over Concordia-Moorhead in MIAC women's hockey play in Mendota Heights.
The teams close out the weekend series with a 2 p.m. rematch on the same ice in Mendota Heights.
St. Thomas (13-8-3 overall, 11-4-2 MIAC) is locked into the No. 3 seed for the upcoming playoffs with Friday's wins by first-place Gustavus and second-place St. Catherine. With a Saturday win and a St. Catherine loss UST could tie for second place.
The Cobbers (12-10-2) outshot UST 33-26.
Kaylee Keys had a goal and two assists and nine different Toms had one goal. St. Thomas scored four goals in a 7:12 span of the second period to take a 5-1 lead.
After Concordia's Emil Sell scored midway through period two to pull the Cobbers within 3-1, UST was called for a penalty and Concordia called a time out. But Taylor Schluter scored a short-handed goal 28 seconds later to give UST a 4-1 lead.
