The Tommie women's hockey team outshot St. Caterine 41-11 but took home a 1-1 overtime tie in Saturday night's MIAC game at the U of M's Ridder Arena.
Coupled with Friday's 3-1 loss to the Wildcats, the Toms fell into third place in the conference race with two games left.
Taylor Schluter scored 4:11 into period two for a 1-0 Tommie lead. But Meghan Lange scored midway through period three to tie the game. UST outshot the Wildcats 14-1 in the third period and five-minute overtime but couldn't get the game winner.
UST closes the regular season next Friday and Saturday at home against Concordia-Moorhead.
Gustavus won 1-0 at home over St. Mary's and now has a one-point lead over St. Catherine and three on UST.
