Taylor Schluter scored 29 seconds into sudden-death overtime Saturday as first-place St. Thomas took a 2-1 victory over Bethel and salvaged a weekend split of its MIAC women's hockey series.
Six different players finished with one point for the Toms (11-7-2 overall, 10-3-1 MIAC), who never trailed in a game where each team had second-period goals.
Lauren Bradel stopped 19 shots in goal for the victory. UST has now played seven consecutive games decided by one goal or with an empty-net goal. BU has had 13 of its last 14 games decided by one goal or with an empty-net tally.
UST avenged a 1-0 loss to the Royals (6-13, 6-8) and remained in a three-way tie for the conference lead with four games left.
Marie Omann scored at 3:43 of the second period for a 1-0 Tommie lead. BU's Allison Papko scored at 18:11 of the second to tie the game, assisted by Paige Lemieux.
Rachel Zilles and Katie Psimos assisted on UT's first goal, while Korinne O'Connor and Kristine Beese assisted on the game-winning tally.
BU freshman Jess Newstrom had 31 saves Saturday after stopping all 47 shots in Friday's 1-0 victory.
