Allison Berg is entering her fifth season with the St. Thomas women's hockey team in 2024-25. Berg served four seasons as the direcctor of operations and has now transitioned into a assistant coach role.

Berg joins the St. Thomas staff with a variety of coaching and playing experience. After playing with the Tommies from 2014-18, she served as an assistant for the Chisago Lakes High boys' hockey team. As the only female coach in Section 5, Berg assisted in leading the Chisago Lakes Boys’ team to a section runner-up performance in 2018-19. She later assisted at Stillwater High. In addition, she has worked in a multitude of coaching capacities with Minnesota Hockey. Prior to her return to campus, Berg taught 2nd-4th grade at Lakeside Elementary in Chisago.

A two-time captain for St. Thomas, Berg contributed to three NCAA tournaments berths. She closed at 10th on the school's career scoring chart with 75 points in 110 games and was part of five MIAC regular-season or playoff championships for St. Thomas in her four-year era. She received recognition as a three-time All-MIAC honoree, both as a forward and defense. In her senior year, she was honored as the MIAC Player of the Year and a second team All-American. In addition, she qualified for the Krampade American Hockey Coaches Association Academic Awards for 2017-18. Berg was among just 12 male and female players to make both the academic list and named to the All-America team.

A native of Lindstrom, Minn., with an elementary education major and spanish minor, she received her undergraduate degree from the University of St. Thomas.
