The Tommies combined for 19 event wins and 46 top-three finishes, posting numerous marks that rank among the best in program and Summit League history early in the indoor season.

QUOTABLES
Men's Head Coach Pete Wareham:
"The men had a very solid start to our indoor season. I think the core elements for success were on display including focus, intensity and talent. These are the building blocks for our program. I like how our guys approach each day and how they prepare. If we continue with this, I expect we will do well in the most important meets that take place later in the season. We will get a good opportunity to see the strength of our league this upcoming week and today was successful preparation."
Women's Head Coach Ashley Lucas:
"It's always exciting to get back to competing and especially to be at home. I'm going to steal it from (St. Thomas head men's basketball coach) Johnny Tauer but I thought the team really competed with competitive joy today. I thought Lauren Rott started the day off strong for us with a great weight throw, lots of strong performances in the hurdles were next and a highlight with Olivia Keller breaking yet another school record. We look forward to next week and getting the entire team back in action at South Dakota State."
UP NEXT
St. Thomas returns to action Saturday, Jan. 24 as it will compete at the Jim Emmerich Alumni Meet hosted by South Dakota State University in Brookings, S.D.
