Baseball falls to North Dakota State in the series finale

Ritter tallies seven strikeouts in loss to the Bison
FARGO, N.D.– St. Thomas baseball completed its series against North Dakota State with a Sunday afternoon contest at Newman Outdoor Field. A five-run second inning lifted North Dakota State (12-19 overall, 9-5 Summit) to a victory over St. Thomas (17-13 overall, 11-3 Summit) in the series finale.
Ben Vujovich put the Tommies on the board first with a solo home run to open the top of the second. North Dakota State responded quickly, adding five runs in the bottom of the inning, holding the 5-1 lead through two.
The Bison added one in third, holding the 6-1 lead through the remainder of the game and defeating the Tommies in the series finale.
Carl Cano, Riane Ritter, Zak Endres and Max Skilbeck combined for 13 strikeouts against North Dakota State. In 5.0 innings, Ritter tallied seven strikeouts on Sunday.
