Carlson and Knowles score for the Tommies
TULSA, OKLA.- The St. Thomas Tommies (3-7-2) earn their first conference point in a 2-2 draw with Oral Roberts (9-3-2) on Thursday evening. Juliet Carlson and Melina Knowles both netted goals for the Tommies.

SCORING SUMMARY:
First Half: The Tommies and Golden Eagles were scoreless through the first 45 minutes of play. Both squads had chances but came up empty. St. Thomas forced an ORU turnover in the 21st minute and Sophia Barjesteh took a shot that hit the crossbar. Goalkeeper Oliva Rowe recorded five saves in the half to keep ORU scoreless.
Second Half: Juliet Carlson opened the scoring as she scored off a pass from Emily McCarthy to put the Tommies up 1-0 in the 61st minute. Oral Roberts then tied the game up in the 76th minute and then scored 35 seconds later to take a 2-1 lead. The Purple then knotted the game at two after Melina Knowles snuck it by the keeper with just two minutes left in the contest.
Up Next
St. Thomas will face Kansas City on the road Sunday, Oct. 12 for their final regular-season road game. The Tommies will then return to St. Paul for a three-game homestand to finish out the regular season.
