Women’s Soccer hits road for final time in regular season

Tommies set to face Golden Eagles and Roos on the road
ST. PAUL, MINN.- The St. Thomas Women's Soccer (3-7-1, 0-3 Summit League) will hit the road for the final time during the 2025 regular season to take on the Oral Roberts Golden Eagles (9-3-1, 3-0 Summit League) and the Kansas City Roos (5-6-1, 0-2 Summit League).
Kick off against the Golden Eagles is slated for Thursday, Oct.9th at 7:00 p.m. CT. The Tommies will then take on the Kansas City Roos on Sunday, Oct. 12th at 1:00 p.m. CT.

Battle with the Mavericks
The Tommies most recently fell in a tightly contested battle with the Omaha Mavericks. St. Thomas fell 3-2 after the Mavericks broke the 2-2 tie with five minutes remaining in the contest.
Red-shirt junior Tatum Trettel had a multi-point game for the Tommies and assisted the first goal scored by Izzy McEwan and later scored a goal of her own. Senior CJ Fredkove also added an assist.

Scouting the Golden Eagles
The Oral Roberts Golden Eagles currently hold a 9-3-1 record and are 3-0 in Summit League play. The Golden Eagles are on a five-game winning streak and have not lost in the last six games.
Oral Roberts offense is led by senior Julia Thasaphong and freshman Genesis Helsley. Thasaphong has tallied four goals and four assists while Helsley has five goals and one assist.
The Golden Eagles are led by head coach Austin Risenhoover who is in his third season as the leader of the program.
Scouting the Roos
The Kansas City Roos are 5-6-1 on the season and 0-2 in Summit League contests.
Graduate student Delfina Zolesio Fernandez Blanco leads the Roos with eight goals and one assist.
Up Next
The Purple will return home for the remainder of the 2025 regular season. They will face Denver, North Dakota State, and North Dakota during this three game homestand.
