McCarthy and Kubes net goals for the Tommies
KANSAS CITY, MO.- Two second half goals were not enough for the Tommies (3-8-2) as they fell 3-2 to the Kansas City Roos (6-6-2) on the road. Emily McCarthy and Sydney Kubes both scored for the Tommies.

SCORING SUMMARY:
First Half: The Roos struck first in the 14th minute, taking a early 1-0 lead. The Tommies best look came after a Kansas City yellow card that led to a Tommie free kick 15 yards out of the box that was just wide. The St. Thomas offense recorded four shots in the half.
Second Half: The Tommie offense came out hot in the second half, scoring the equalizer just 14 seconds into the half. Emily McCarthy scored her second goal of the season after Alexandra Amini played a beautiful cross, and McCarthy finished it off with a header to knot the match at one. Kansas City then took the lead back in the 60th minute to make the score 2-1. The Roos then scored again in the 63rd minute to take a 3-1 lead. Sydney Kubes then pulled the Tommies within one in the 70th minute off the corner kick that came in from Molly Knoblauch.
Up Next
St. Thomas will return to St. Paul for a three-game homestand to finish out the regular season. The Tommies are set to face Denver, North Dakota State, and North Dakota to finish out the regular season.
