St. Thomas announces eight additions to women’s hockey

Women’s Hockey adds eight to 2025-26 Freshman Class

ST. PAUL, Minn. -- St. Thomas Women's Hockey is excited to announce the addition of eight incoming freshman student-athletes to the 2025-26 signing class.

"We could not be more excited to welcome the class of 2026 to the women's hockey program at St. Thomas," Interim Head Coach Bethany Brausen said. "We are confident that this group of student athletes will continue to accelerate our growth in the national landscape of women's hockey. Their hockey accolades on the ice speak for themselves, and we are equally excited about how they will contribute to our culture and team identity. This group represents the highest levels of character, passion, and integrity that we are excited to welcome into our program."

Nora Devries (D, 5-4, Lindstrom, Minn./ Chisago Lakes)
Nora DeVries is an all-state honorable mention, three-time all-conference honoree, and two-time team captain for both hockey and tennis at Chisago Lakes. The Lindstrom, Minn. native was named to the 2024 all-state academic hockey team.
 
DeVries is the daughter of Nicole and Jason and has four siblings: Claire, Grace, Laine and Rose. DeVries plans to major in Social Studies Education with a minor in English at St. Thomas.
 
Maya Engler (F, 5-7, Andover, Minn./ Andover)
Maya Engler is a MSHSL State Champion, named to the State All-Tournament team, an all-conference recipient and received Rookie of the Year award at Andover High School.
 
Engler is the daughter of Jacquie and Greg and has one sibling, Ava. Engler plans to major in biology at St. Thomas.
 
Nora Hannan (G, 5-4, Edina, Minn./ Edina)
Nora Hannan competed for Team USA at the 2024 U18 World Championships, winning Gold. The Edina, Minn. native also won the 2024 Minnesota State Championship with Edina High School.
 
Hannan is the daughter of Jess and Chris and has two siblings, Pete and Ben.
 
Whitney Horton (F, 5-9, Edina, Minn./ Edina)
Whitney Horton won the 2024 Minnesota State Championship with fellow teammate Nora Hannan and Edina High School, and was named to the 2024 Academic All-State team.
 
Horton is the daughter of Laura and Mark and has one sibling, Lillian.
 
Teagan Kulenkamp (F, 5-6, Lino Lakes, Minn./ Centennial)
Teagan Kulenkamp, a Lino Lakes, Minn. native received 2024 all-state honorable mention honors and was named captain of her high school team.
 
Kulenkamp is the daughter of Angie and Nick and has one sibling, Ryken.
 
Courtney Little (D, 5-6, Andover, Minn./ Andover)
Courtney Little is a two-time all-conference honoree and named all-conference honorable mention. The defender earned all-state honorable mention accolade with Andover High School.  
 
Little is the daughter of Jen and Steve and has one sibling, Kennedy.
 
Callie Rice (F, 5-7, Lake Country, British Columbia/ Rink Hockey Academy Kelowna)
The Lake Country, BC native won the 2024 Canadian U18 Women's National Championship bronze medal with Team British Columbia. Callie Rice has earned two CSSHL Championships with RHA Kelowna.
 
Rice is the daughter of Nicole and Tyler and has three siblings: Madelyne, Leighton and Brynn.
 
Josie Skoogman (D, 5-7, St. Paul, Minn./ Hill-Murray)
Josie Skoogman was named to the 2024 All-State tournament team, is an all-conference recipient and was named the All-Metro third team. The St. Paul native has lettered in soccer, tennis, golf and hockey at Hill-Murray.
 
Skoogman in the daughter of Allanna and Andrew and has three siblings: Gwynn, Gabi and Summer.
