Thoughts from men's head coach Pete Wareham following the first indoor meet of 2024:
"The guys have put in a lot of work over the past several months to prepare for the competitive season so it was great to kick off the first meet of the year. Our team goal was to take what we have practiced each day and bring it to competition. We had a great start tonight and it will help us progress and be ready for the larger, highly competitive meets scheduled over the next six weeks."
Thoughts from women's head coach Ashley Lucas following the St. Thomas Invitational:
"Today was a good start to 2024. The team competed well and we got a good idea of what needs to be worked on going forward. A big highlight was Hailey Shimon having herself a day in the weight throw and then coming back to PR in the shot put. Josie Liebl was another highlight in both the high jump and long jump. Now we will set our sights on Iowa State and open up some individuals who were off this weekend."
