Matt Weimann participated at Minnesota Pro Day on Wednesday

St. Paul, Minn. -- St. Thomas Football senior center Matt Weimann showcased his talents Wednesday at the University of Minnesota's pro day.
Scouts and front office personnel from all 32 NFL teams, and one Canadian Football League team, were present for the activities held on the Minneapolis campus.
Weimann, a native of Oakdale, Minn., represented the 2023 Pioneer Football League Champion St. Thomas among several offensive lineman from Minnesota, Minnesota Duluth and Bethel at the event.
Weimann capped his five-year career with the Tommies as the Phil Steele Magazine's Pioneer League Offensive Player of the Year, along with being named All-Pioneer Football League First Team each of the past two seasons. DraftScout.com previously named Weimann the Pioneer league Offensive Lineman of the Year following the 2021 season.
He blocked for seven 100-yard rushing performances this past fall, as the Tommies went 7-0 in those games. Weimann's play and leadership led a younger offensive line that helped generate an offensive average of 378 yards per game.
The 2023 NFL Draft is set for April 27-29 in Kansas City.
Football alum Nick Guggemos is the most recent Tommie to earn a spot in the NFL, signing with the Green Bay Packers practice squad in November of 2022. After graduating from St. Thomas, he attended Minnesota's pro day in 2021 before being signed as an undrafted free agent with the Seattle Seahawks.
