Wedin in top 10 with one round to play for Women's Golf

Boulder City, Nev. -- Junior Courtney Wedin led Tommie Women's Golf Monday in the 14-team SDSU Jackrabbit Spring Invite with a pair of solid rounds.
With 36 holes already in the books on day one, the final 18 holes will be played Tuesday.
Wedin shot 73 and 70 for a 144 total, good for eighth place. led by eight birdies on the day. Her 70 over the second 18 tied for the fifth best score of the round, and matched the Purple's best 18-hole score of the Division I era.
The Tommies sit it 12th place out of 14 teams after scores of 300 and 298. A tight pack of teams has St. Thomas just four shots out of sixth place and only eight shots out of third place.
Grand Canyon leads at 10-under 566, and Lipscomb is at even par 576. Ten teams are within eight strokes from third to 12th place, led by third place Western Carolina at 14-over.
Isabelle Lynch shot 73-76/149 and is tied for 34th place. Lauren Contreras shot 77-77/154. Emma Davies shot 81-75/156. Caroline Monty shot 77/79/156.
