St. Paul, Minn. – Saskia Maurer was named to the All-WCHA Second Team as Women's Hockey's sole postseason honoree. The Sophomore goaltender was named to the WCHA All-Rookie team last season.

"Saskia has just been so consistent this season," head coach, Joel Johnson said of Maurer. "She finished the year playing at an incredible level. Her hard work and commitment to the game of hockey typify the efforts of the entire team. I am very excited for her to be recognized in this way; it is well deserved."

Maurer has earned a .917 save percentage and 2.92 goals against average through 1129:39 of action. She recently posted a 53-save performance against No. 4 Minnesota that helped net the Tommies a WCHA point in an overtime loss. She has marked 24 saves in a period on two occasions this season. Maurer has stopped 45 or more shots in a game on five occasions as a sophomore and was named WCHA Goaltender of the Week twice.
