Men's Track and Field to compete in Snowshoe Open at UMN

St. Paul, Minn. -- St. Thomas Track and Field continues its 2023 indoor season with partial squads competing Friday Feb. 17 in Minneapolis, at the University of Minnesota Snowshoe Open.
Coaches Pete Wareham and Ashley Lucas have their men's and women's teams ready for the Summit League Indoor Championships in a week at the University of South Dakota.
Athletes from 13 Midwest universities and colleges will compete this weekend in Minneapolis, including the host Gophers, St. Thomas, Wisconsin, Nebraska, South Dakota State, Iowa State, St. John's, Bethel, Augsburg, Concordia St. Paul, Minnesota Duluth, North Central (MN), Northwestern (MN), plus several other NAIA and community college and unattached athletes.
Competition starts Friday at 2:00 p.m. with six field events while the track portion of the event will start at 3:00 p.m. There will be a total of nine short distance events, and three long distance events.
The Toms have 53 men's performances ranked in the top 25 in The Summit League.
