Of its 56 athletes entered this weekend, St. Thomas has 23 competing in their first college conference track and field meet.

The Tommie women have 14 freshmen and one grad transfer in their 28-athlete lineup.

The St. Thomas men have nine freshmen and eight sophomores in their 28-man contingent.

The men's newcomers include three athletes who are ranked among the top 70 freshmen nationally in their events on the Division I track and field season -- Jack Rosner in the heptathlon and 60 hurdles; Isaiah Hopf in the triple jump; and Gary Afram in the 60 dash.

Senior Parker Feuerborn is the highest seeded St. Thomas athlete on the national charts at No. 38 in the weight throw. He improved his career best by three feet last Friday with a 68-7 toss, a mark that is just 1-4 inch off the school record set by 2019 D-III national champion Eric Holst.

Senior Olivia Moll is seeded fourth in the 5,000 for St. Thomas. Moll earned All-Summit League in cross country last fall with a fifth-place finish in the league championships.
