Minneapolis, Minn. -- One Tommie Men's Track and Field school record fell and another record nearly was broken Friday at the University of Minnesota Snowshoe Open. St. Thomas entered a partial team of men's and women's competitors in the non-team scored meet, the final tune-up before the Feb. 25-26 Summit League Championship meet.
Senior Erik Anderson clocked 8.17 to win the 60 hurdles and break teammate Jack Rosner's 60 hurdles record of 8.26. Rosner placed second in 8.29, and Carter Maack placed fourth in 8.35.
Senior Parker Feuerborn took second in the weight throw with a career-best 68-7 toss -- just 1-4 inch off the 2019 school record that Eric Holst recorded (68-7 1-4) to win the D-III national championship. Feuerborn's Friday throw ranks 35th nationally in Division I this year and tops his previous best of 65-9 set earlier this season.
Senior Eric Douville won the 200 dash in 22.04.
