Tulsa, Okla. - First-place Oral Roberts received second-half goals from five different players to blow open Wednesday night's Summit League clash with Tommie Men's Soccer in a 5-0 victory.
The Eagles (8-3-2 overall, 4-1 Summit) remained squarely in the league title race. After a scoreless first half, ORU scored goals in the 48th, 60th, 78th, 85th and 90th minutes.
St. Thomas (2-9-2 overall, 1-2-1 Summit) was outshot 19-10, including and 8-1 advantage in shots on goal. ORU also had a 10-5 edge in corner kicks.
Next Up
The Purple are home Saturday (4 p.m.) to face Western Illinois, looking to avenge a one-goal road loss to WIU from 2021. It's Senior Day at South Field.
