Women's Soccer falls 2-1 on road to Omaha

Omaha, Neb. - A slow start proved difficult to overcome on Friday night as Tommie Women's Hockey never led in a 2-1 Summit League loss at Omaha.
The Mavs (3-8-4 overall, 2-2-2 Summit) scored two goals in the game's first seven minutes for a fast 2-0 lead.
Sophomore Mariah Nguyen scored an unassisted goal in the 15th minute to get the Purple back into the game at 2-1. But St. Thomas was not able to generate a lot of scoring chances to get the tying goal.
St. Thomas (6-6-3, 2-3-1) has lost four games in a row, including three one-goal decisions.The Toms had three corner kicks to seven for the host team, but they outshot the Mavs in shots on goal by a 6-4 margin.

St. Thomas plays Sunday afternoon at league title contender Denver (1 p.m. Minnesota time start).
