St. Paul, Minn. - Tommie Women's Soccer (6-5-3 overall, 2-3-1 Summit) plays conference road games Friday Oct. 14 (6 p.m.) at Omaha (2-8-4, 1-2-2) and Sunday Oct. 16 (1 p.m. Minnesota time) at Denver (7-4-3, 4-0-1).
The Toms went 4-1-3 in September but have a current three-game skid to start October with three defeats by a total of four goals. That dropped them to sixth place in the 10-team standings.
Last weekend at home, the Toms lost 3-1 to unbeaten South Dakota State and fell 2-1 to South Dakota. In the USD loss on Sunday, the Purple led 1-0 through 75 minutes and had not allowed a shot on goal. But the Coyotes earned a corner kick, and a hand ball was called in the box against the Purple on that entry kick. That penalty kick was converted to tie the score 1-1. USD added a second goal in the final seven minutes that proved to be the game winner.
