Women's Soccer starts trip with 1-0 loss at E. Washington

Tommie Women's Soccer allowed a goal in the 64th minute and was unable to answer with an equalizer goal down the stretch Thursday in a 1-0 defeat to Eastern Washington University in non-conference play in Cheney, Wash.
The Toms (2-4-1) outshot EWU 7-2 in the second half and the shots were even at 9-9 on the contest. Each team had two corner kicks. St. Thomas put six shots on goal but all were saved by goalkeeper Kelsee Winston of the host Eagles (2-5).
St. Thomas plays at the University of Idaho on Saturday evening to close the western trip.
