St. Thomas women's golf finished seventh out of seven teams at the Stampede Invite after the final round on Tuesday.
As a team, the Tommies shot a 1,001 in the three-round tournament. North Dakota State won the tournament with a score of 899.
Individually for St. Thomas, Freshman Isabelle Lynch finshed tied for 22nd with scores of 78-75-80/233.
The Tommies wrap up their fall season on Monday, Oct. 11 and Tuesday, Oct. 12 at the Creighton Classic in Omaha, Neb.
Monday's Story:
Tommie Women's Golf had rounds of 331 and 334 on a busy Monday of golf at the Omaha tournament in Elkhorn, Neb. The Toms sit in seventh place out of seven teams, with the final 18 holes set for Tuesday.
Freshman Isabelle Lynch had rounds of 78-75/153 and is tied for 13th place in a field of 54 players
Paige O'Neal shot 83-83/166. Claudia Kim shot 85-86/171. Breanne Nygaard shot 85-90/175.
First-year coach Katie Hanneman had three freshmen on the trip.
"I'm very proud of the patience our team displayed today," the coach explained. "We faced some adversity this morning and are competing with just four golfers. The rough has been hard, but our girls have shown a lot of resilience and continued to put their best foot forward."
