Final results
The St. Thomas women's golf team placed fourth at the Creighton Classic on Tuesday, wrapping up their fall schedule. The Purple improved its score each round, finishing with scores of 346-335-331/1,012 in the three-round tournament. The host team, Creighton won the tournament with rounds of 305-310-294/909.
Individually for St. Thomas, the freshmen duo of Isabelle Lynch and and Lauren Contreras finished in the top-20, finishing 13th and 16th place, respectively with scores of 84-81-77/242 and 81-81-77/248. Sophomore Paige O'Neal finished 22nd, shooting 89-88-83/260, freshman Breanna Nygaard shot 93-85-85/263 and tied for 23rd, while junior Claudia Kim ranked 28th with scores of 92-94-88/274.
Monday's story
Tommie Women's Golf freshmen Lauren Contreras and Isabelle Lynch sit in 12th and 14th place after Monday's 36-hole play of the four-team Creighton Invite.The two-day tourney wraps up with a final 18 on Tuesday in Omaha.
Contreras had rounds of 81-81/162. Lynch shot 84-81/165. Paige O'Neal shot 89-88/177.
