ST. PAUL, Minn. – The St. Thomas women's golf team has announced its 2026-27 schedule as the Tommies prepare for their sixth season of Division I competition. The road to the 2027 Summit League Championship begins during the first week of September.
St. Thomas opens the season September 7-8 at a tournament hosted by Northern Colorado in Greeley, Colo. It will mark the Tommies' first trip to Colorado for the season-opening event and the first time Northern Colorado has hosted the tournament in the last decade.
One week later, the Tommies return to the Redbird Invitational, hosted by Illinois State, for the first time since 2023. The 2026 tournament is scheduled for September 13-14. During their last appearance, the Purple posted one of the best performances in program history, setting a team single-round record and individual single-round record. After a week off, the Tommies make their second consecutive appearance at the Diane Thomason Invitational, hosted by Iowa, September 28-29. St. Thomas finished 10th at the event last season, led by VanArragon's fifth-place finish after she carded a team-low 71 in the final round.
The fall season concludes October 5-6 at the Marilynn Smith Sunflower Invitational, hosted by Kansas. The Tommies return to Lawrence Country Club looking to improve on their 2025 finish.
As the calendar turns to 2027, St. Thomas heads to the Rio Verde Invitational, hosted by Western Michigan, February 19-21. The Tommies will make their first appearance at the event, which enters its 24th year in 2027.
Nearly a month later, the Purple return to the Spring Jackrabbit Invitational for the fifth consecutive season, March 15-16. St. Thomas is coming off a fourth-place finish in 2026, highlighted by Karen Stefansdottir's career-best 67 in the final round.
The Tommies remain in the Southwest for the Pay It Forward Collegiate, co-hosted by Minnesota and St. Thomas, March 22-23. Four Tommies recorded career-best 54-hole scores at the event last season, including returning standouts Genevieve Birkeland and Amelia Morton.
