Junior center Kaitlin Langer just missed a triple double with 18 points, 15 rebounds and nine blocks and made two free throws with :05 to play to lead the No. 8-ranked Tommie Women's Baskeball (5-0) to Sunday's 51-48 road win at UW-Stevens Point (3-2).
It was the third double double for Langer in five games thus far.
The Toms knocked down 18 of 22 free throws on the game, including 12 of 14 in the fourth quarter. That helped Coach Ruth Sinn's team offset a 1-for-9 day at the 3-point line and 20 turnovers.
The Pointers, who have a win over No. 12-ranked Washington (Mo.)., made four treys but converted only 6-of-13 at the foul line.
Kate Stone scored 12 points and Gabby Zehrer scored eight.
The Toms start MIAC play Wednesday Dec. 2 with a 7 p.m. game at Concordia-Moorhead in a game to be played at Moorhead State's gym.
